Bears Send Chris Harris to Carolina

The Bears made a trade on Thursday, shipping safety Chris Harris to the Carolina Panthers.  In exchange, the Bears will get an undisclosed 2008 draft pick.  Harris played in 11 games with the Bears last season, including seven starts, and tallied 54 tackles, two interceptions and two passes defended.  He started in Super Bowl XLI vs the Colts.  [...]

Walker and the Bears Agree on 5-Year Deal

 
The Bears have quickly wrapped up their newly acquired defensive tackle for the next couple of years. The team on Tuesday announced that they have signed DT Darwin Walker to a five-year deal worth $25 million. The deal came down just two days after Walker was traded from the Bills to the Bears.
