Injuries Mount Up For Reeling Bears Defense

Injury count stays at six: Cornerbacks Charles Tillman (ankle) and Nathan Vasher (groin), defensive tackle Tommie Harris (knee), linebacker Lance Briggs (hamstring), tackle Fred Miller (knee) and guard Ruben Brown (ankle) were held out of practice Thursday.

Smith Officially Names Griese as Starting QB

Brian Griese will start at quarterback for the Bears Sunday at Detroit. Head coach Lovie Smith confirmed the move after practice yesterday. Bears’ Offense Absent In Loss To Dallas

Bears 1st Round Pick Set For Action: TE Olsen To Help Sputtering Pass Attack

Five Bears were held out of practice Wednesday: Alex Brown (ankle), Ruben Brown (shoulder), Tommie Harris (hamstring), Olin Kreutz (ankle) and Ricky Manning Jr. (back).
