4th Quarter Collapse Leads Lions Over Bears 37-27

Griese after a pick

The Lions exploded for 34 fourth-quarter points in topping the Bears 37-27 at Ford Field yesterday.  Brian Griese, making his first start for the benched Rex Grossman, completed 34 of his 52 passes for 286 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.  Two of his picks were in the red zone.  Cedric Benson carried the ball 15 times for 50 yards.  Return specialist Devin Hester continues to be the bright spot on the team.  The third-year player broke his own team record with 318 return yards, including a 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.  The 1-and-3 Bears travel to play 4-and-0 Green Bay on Sunday.
