Bears Get Ready For Eagles, Another Honor For Hester

McNabb

The Bears are headed to Philadelphia this weekend to face the Eagles in a battle of teams desperate to stay alive in the playoff race.  The defending NFC Champion Bears are just 2-and-4 this season after last week’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings and are in last place in the NFC North division.  The Eagles aren’t faring much better, coming into the game with a 2-and-3 mark, which puts them in last place in the NFC East.  The one bright spot for the Bears all season continues to be return man Devin Hester, who returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown in the loss to the Vikings and also caught an 81-yard touchdown pass.  It’s the fifth time in Hester’s two years in the league that he’s been named Player of the Week.  The Bears hold a 24-8-and-1 lead in the all-time series with Philadelphia, though the Eagles have won five of the last six regular season meetings dating back to 1994. The last head-to-head meeting between the teams took place in 2004, when the Eagles won 19-9 at Soldier Field.
