Bears QB Brian Griese has turned the Bears offense around the past few weeks, and today he was honored with being named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.  In Sunday’s comeback 19-16 win over Philly, Griese threw for 322 yards and a score in going 27-for-41 passing.  He had a QB rating of 97.8.  It’s the third time in his career he has been honored as the player of the week, the last time came as the QB of the Broncos back in week one of the 2001 season.  The turnaround in the offesne starts with Griese, as in four starts this season he has completed 102 of 163 pass attempts for 1,203 yards, 8 touchdowns and 6 interceptions for a 86.0 passer rating. His 300.8 passing yards per game is second highest in the NFL (Tom Brady, NE, 303.6) this season.
