Bears Look to Spoil Vikings Playoff Chances Tonight

The Bears face two questions as they get ready for tonight’s game against the Vikings in Minnesota. The first is how quarterback Kyle Orton will perform. It will be the backup’s first regular season playing time since 2005, when he guided Chicago to 10 wins after Rex Grossman was injured in the preseason. Second, the Bear defense will find out if it can stop a vaunted Minnesota run game. Rookie Adrian Peterson torched Chicago for 224 yards when the two teams met in Week Six. Backup Chester Taylor added 83 yards on the ground in that game. The 7-and-6 Vikings are still in playoff contention, while the 5-and-8 Bears are struggling to finish at .500. The teams meet on Monday Night Football at 7:30 p.m.
