The Bears finished a disappointing season on a high note, beating the New Orleans Saints 33-25 yesterday at Soldier Field. Last season, the Bears beat New Orleans in the NFC Championship Game to advance to the Super Bowl. This year, the Bears failed to qualify for the playoffs with seven wins and nine losses. Bears’ receiver and return man Devin Hester broke his own NFL record with his sixth kick return for a touchdown. The score came on a 64-yard-punt return early in the third quarter. Adrian Peterson rushed for 91 yards on 21 carries. He also threw a touchdown pass to Bernard Berrian. Kyle Orton completed 12-of-27 passes for 190 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Each team committed three turnovers.
