I Agree with the Albert pick, just not your "assessment". There's no way I want Otah! I wanted him for about a week or two early on in Feb, then I realized he's a "bust" pick just like Williams will be. He's too overweight, slow, and sluggish, not quick enough to block elite pass rushers and he won't be able to protect the passer @ LT. We should not risk taking a chance on either of those two linemen, I would trade down in a heartbeat if there's not much of an interest in Rashard Mendenhall. Albert should be avlb. @ 18 where Houston selects...

Why pass up on Rashard when he's going to possibly dominate w/ Detroit (#15)?

You low on him or you, just like myself, see OL as a bigger/important need to address first in the Draft because of the DEEP, DEEP, DEEP Draft Class filled w/ RB's? What do you think of Rashard?
Would you be upset if we don't take him?

I hope we go Albert/Hardy, Albert/Forte or Rashard/Cherilus (pending he's avlb.)

It's a hard choice between Albert/Rashard.

Good stuff Windy City guy...

How do you project our first 5 rounds?

Thanks

Assuming Long, Clady, and Otah are gone grab Albert. If Albert is gone and no trade down is possible take Sweed WR from Texas. Williams is not a good fit, short arms low reps of 225 (doesn't work hard) and questionable intensity. No matter how they try coaches can not create a work ethic, or a fire in the belly especially after they've gotten several million dollars.

Don't look for RB until 2nd or 3rd rd. Why waste a pick when there's no holes up front.

Jose, Max Starks - Pittsburgh Steelers OT (6-foot 8, 337) would be a GREAT Addition!

Was just thinking about that a couple weeks ago because like you said we NEED, ABSOLUTE NEED a Left Tackle, or just any OL, whether it be guard or tackle - WE NEED OL!

Plus, if we obtain him we give up just a 3rd rounder, and we already have an extra 3rd from SD that we snatched in last year's draft (move to trade down for G.Wolfe). I love your thinking and that idea Jose!

How about Shane Olivea, he is a "Versatile" OL than can consistently play both a good guard/tackle! He is still out there...

Right on with what you're saying Bro... We'll get 2 very good players that may be able to start right away... What about trading down if we don't want to take another 1st Round RB....?

Jamaal Charles - Right about that, tremendous fit if we were to select him because of his SPEED, We NEED SPEED @ RB definitely - and SPEED Is a NEED Everywhere on the Football Field. Charles is the best pass catcher in this draft RB-wise and can make an Impact right away on the Gridiron, and you Texas fans know that or any of you who watched him light up the opposition, especially in the 4th Quarter! He TOOK OVER games and had 230+ rush yards in just the 4th quarter alone in the game vs. Nebraska! But another Texas back...? Hmm.... Have to think about that more than once!

Chris Williams - Don't necessarily think he's WORTH the 14th pick, nothing SPECIAL - not a "Can't-Miss" Prospect like RASHARD! Good player but not good enough, I'd DEAL Down 4 him or my favorite OL in the Draft - Branden Albert from UVA! Not a big fan of Baker...

Rashard Mendenhall or Trade Down if I'm the GM of the Chicago BEARS!

Thanks Jose,

Why not sign Max Starks from Pittsburgh to play Tackle, then draft the best player that falls to you at RB or OLine? Then look for help in the 2nd round at what you did not get in the first. Ex: if you take mendenhall in the 1st try to grab Sam Baker in the 2nd, or on the flip side take the tackle from Vandy and in the second round take charles from texas. Chicago is in a good spot to have a good player in the 1st and then the alternate need in the 2nd.
