Bears Place OT Miller on IR
Posted by Matt Loede on November 22nd, 2008 in Injury Report, News

The beat up Bears O-line got more bad news on Saturday, as the team placed veteran OT Fred Miller on IR and moved up wide out Brandon Rideau from the practice squad. Miller has a shoulder injury, and it’s that injury that has limited him to playing in just six games this season. He’s played mostly on special teams. He was already let go once this year – that happened in February as the team wanted to avoid paying him a roster bonus. They got him back in September after first-round pick Chris Williams hurt his back. Miller was a fifth-round pick of the Rams back in 1996, and has played in 192 games, 52 with the Bears.
