Bears Put Special Teams Ace McClover on IR
Posted by Matt Loede on November 24th, 2008 in Injury Report, News
The Bears lost a key special teams producer on Monday, as they placed linebacker Darrell McClover on injured reserve. McClover was tied for second on the team with 14 special teams tackles and also contributed with a punt block which resulted in a TD for Brandon Lloyd in Week 2’s loss to Carolina. McClover, a special teams ace standout, suffered the injury during the team’s 37-3 loss at Green Bay in Week 12, as he hurt his hamstring. The 27-year-old from the University of Miami was signed by the Bears back in October of 2006.
