The Bears controlled this game from the outset, and were never really in danger of letting it get away, although they did go through a lull in the 3rd quarter and beginning of the 4th where they got conservative and allowed the Jags to begin to creep back in as close as 10 points, but the Bears held the Jags scoreless over the last 12 minutes and 15 seconds of the game. The Bears added a Robbie Gould field goal after a 7 play 58 yard drive which effectively ended the game.
The defense played well and started strong with Danieal Manning interception returned for 42 yards to the Jags 5, on their very first defensive series. The Bears ended the game with 3 sacks, 1 Forced fumble and 1 Interception, not to mention that Garrad was hurried and knocked down all day long. It was good to see the defense play with fire.

The Jaguars, head to Green Bay (5-7) next Sunday while the Bears have a Thursday night home game against the New Orleans Saints(7-6).
