How serious would the Bears make a run at Cardinals free-agent to be QB Kurt Warner? Today’s Chicago Tribune hits upon that subject, saying that Warner might just be listening to what the Bears have to say. Here’s today’s tidbit from the paper:
Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner and his agent plan to listen. Will the Bears be ready to talk? Following Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Warner becomes a free agent. Meanwhile, here in Chicago, Mark Bartelstein is hatching an all-inclusive plan that would give other teams a chance to make an offer to his client. “The Bears obviously have to figure out which direction they want to go with the quarterback thing,” Bartelstein said. “It has, obviously, been a point of contention for quite a while. We have to wait and see what they decide they want to do.”

I know this may seem crazy to most but i feel kurt warner is over-rated!! hes had a very solid line, two great recievers, two productive running backs and an offense minded coach.. also he is not a cold weather QB and would struggle here.. put him in a dome and warm weather and he can flourish, just not young enough or has a strong enough arm and mobility to play on the lake front..
peace!
