I’m in total agreement. Torry is a relatively cheap veteran addition who would still be productive and would greatly affect the bears youthful WR regimes. That would allow for the bears to develop Hester, Earl Bennett, and any other additions from this years draft. Holt is a great route runner and could be the go to guy as a possesion reciever for the bears. Anguan Boldin and a monster goaline fullback would be my first pick but Torry Holt for cheap seems more realistic and wouldn’t be such a drastic move.

I believe that Holt would bring a number 1 option to the bears even with his age. He still has more than adiquate speed, but more importantly he is considered a masterful route runner. All of that aside the fact that this guy is a student of the game and also a phenominal teacher of the game as can be verified but the production and credit given by some mediocre talents like mike furry, who achieved a thousand yards and credited his achievement to Holt and the time spent working with him.
