Bears to Take a Gander at WR Matt Jones?

There’s all kinds of talk about the Bears wide out spot, and one player that could be on their list is former Jags WR Matt Jones. Pro Football Weekly says that Jones would like to speak to the Bears:

Word is the agent for former first-round WR Matt Jones wouldn’t mind a call from the Bears regarding his client, but we hear the Bears feel satisfied with what they’ve got at the WR position for the time being.

We’ll see if the receivers struggle early how fast the Bears turn to someone like Jones, who remains on the free agent market.

Mat Jones is a natural talent that needs a mentor to motivate him. If there is someone that can fill this needed “Master”, then this guy can be great.

As a college player, Matt would take the ball, break tackles, juke and out run the entire defense, never fearing to get hit.

While at Jacksonville, I noticed Matt catching tons of balls and simply falling to the ground. Not sure what happened to his desire to break loose, but that is one area that he is very capable of doing and needs some solid coaching.

Maybe the Bills ought to take him to work under TO, if TO would help him. Surely with some fight in him, his strength and speed, a Matt Jones could be a fine addition to any team.
