Bears Stadium Operations Update

As we prepare for our first regular season home game against the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, we thought you’d like to know about some of the operational changes and new features you can expect to see at Soldier Field this season. Thanks for your continued support, and Go Bears!

  • New text system to request assistance anonymously in the stadium – Text the keyword “BEARS” to 41513, describe the fan conduct issue and exact location (section, row & seat) where assistance is needed.
  • There will be no parking at Michael Reese Hospital for Bears fans due to plans to develop the area. Cash parking with free shuttles will continue to be available at the McCormick Place Lot B (“31st St. Lot”) and the and Millennium Garage.
  • Since the Museum Campus parking lots require a full-season coupon, there is no cash parking for cars in those lots on gameday. Limited single game parking is available in advance at soldierfield.clickandpark.com. Parking lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff.
  • Tailgating in Museum Campus parking lots during the game will continue to be prohibited.
  • Additional restrooms have been added on the Service Level, accessible from the South Courtyard behind the Doughboy statue.
  • Fans can read the Code of Conduct and view our pre-game video using Bears Season Ticket Holders at http://www.chicagobears.com/code_of_conduct.asp.
  • Fans can view a variety of online resources including the Fan Guide and Stadium Advisory for each game at http://www.chicagobears.com/tickets/FanServices.asp.
  • Miller Lite Designated Driver program – “You Hold The Key. Never Drive Drunk” promotion; fans that pledge will receive a key that may unlock a treasure chest full of Bears prizes that include the chance to win a trip to the Super Bowl or Pro Bowl.
  • Fans are encouraged to sign up for traffic reports and emergency alerts at www.NotifyChicago.com, a text messaging, email or recorded phone call service provided by the City of Chicago.
  • Flex scheduling – home games on Nov. 22 vs. Eagles, Dec. 6 vs. Rams and Dec. 13 vs. Packers may be affected. Time only may change; the date will not change.
  • Bears fans that park in the East Monroe of Millennium Park garages will be helping Bears Care as well. Laz Parking will donate $1 for each car parking there on gameday. Fans can take the free shuttle to and from the stadium for the game.

Ticket office

  • Season Ticket Holders can now make payments (MasterCard, Visa, Discover) and update their phone number and addresses online through “My Bears Season Ticket Account” at www.chicagobears.com

Concessions

  • Added a second Smoke House BBQ location to Sec. 442, (other one at Sec.122) for turkey legs, brisket sandwich and rib tips
  • Ditka’s Bloody Mikes, Mai Tais and Margaritas (malt beverages) available at Brews Brothers stands
  • New Fried Cheese Curds, Super Pretzels join the very popular Gyros, Philly Cheese Steak, Italian Beef and BBQ Pork Sandwich concession items
  • New to the menu this year Bobak’s hot dogs and sausages and Palermo’s pizza.

Retail / Bears Pro Shop

  • Fans who use their official Bears Chase Debit MasterCard will receive a 15 percent discount. To get the Bears Debit MasterCard and for more details, visit your local Illinois Chase branch.
  • New Bears “Traditions” line items
  • New women’s customized Bears jerseys

Entertainment

  • The Bears Ultimate Tailgate before the first four home games. Contests, free Bears alumni autographs, food sampling, interactive giveaways, WBBM pre-game broadcast for the first two games.
  • National Anthem performers include Chicago renowned vocalist Wayne Messmer, members of the Chicago Lyric Opera, multiple Broadway in Chicago musicals.
  • Halftime shows will feature performances by the Jesse White Tumblers, Chicago Bears Youth Football demonstrations, the Illinois State University Marching Band, military themed ceremonies, fan favorite mascot football, skills competitions and additional acts to come.

Videoboard features

  • The Playbook is an interactive guide to each game. Pay attention to the Soldier Field videoboards throughout the game and look for special offers from McDonald’s, 7-Eleven, Palermo’s Pizza, Hyatt, and Bobak’s Sausage
  • New video for player introductions and other video features
