Hawks WR Branch wants to be a Bear?

Sources tell the Chicago Tribune’s Around Town celebrity column that Seahawks WR Deion Branch “wants to sign with the Bears.” Branch was spotted in Chicago on Friday night at Joe’s Seafood Restaurant. Tom Curran of Comcast Sports in New England, however, passes along a report that Seahawks GM John Schneider has no plans to cut Branch, which is a big surprise considering the 30-year-old receiver’s obvious on-field decline and $5.47M salary.

Now that Depaul is gone, look for Lovie to make moves to bring in Torry Holt and/or others. I really hope they replace Depaul with a quality pro personel guy that can eventually replace Angelo as GM when the house cleaning takes place this time next year.

I dont believe Torry is the answer: we could potentially trade Devin (who could be replaced by Knox) for either a bigger receiver or line/safety help…
