Brandon Marshall-to-Dolphins trade squashes hopes, dreams of (some) Bears fans

So why is a Broncos-Dolphins trade worthy of a headline on a blog dedicated to Chicago Bears fans? Because it finally silences the talk of Brandon Marshall reuniting with Cutler in Chicago…that is, until the WR pisses off Dolphins big-cheese (or is it ‘tuna’) Bill Parcells and forces another trade.

The Dolphins sent two second rounders to the Broncos in exchange for the hot-headed receiver. Bears fans have been pondering a Marshall-Cutler reunion ever since the receiver started butting heads with head coach Josh McDaniels in Denver.

But the Bears simply didn’t have the ammo (high draft picks) to make the deal happen. And they believe their young WR corps of Hester, Knox, Aromashodu, Bennett and Iglesias has the potential to be productive in Martz’s wide-open offense… despite no apparent #1 receiver.

So finally Bears fans, we can put this bad-boy to rest and go on obsessing about some other blockbuster trade that will never happen.
