WR Iglesias and RB Unga Sit with Injuries

ESPN Chicago reports on a couple players that sat Sunday due to injury:

Two players fighting for roster spots suffered injuries Sunday as Bears wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias (groin pull) and running back Harvey Unga (right hamstring) were unable to finish practice. Iglesias, a 2009 third-round draft choice, was inactive for the first 15 games last year before being activated for the season finale versus the Lions.

The receiver out of Oklahoma finished his rookie season without a reception, but due to a strong offseason figures to make the team if the Bears keep six receivers. If the Bears decide to retain only five wideouts on the final 53-man roster, Iglesias and Rashied Davis are expected to battle it out for the final spot. The Bears took Unga in the 2010 NFL Supplemental draft, where they forfeited a 2011 seventh-round pick to select the former BYU standout. “Nothing serious,” Bears head coach Lovie Smith said about the injuries. “These kind of things happen during training camp.”
