The season is over for Bears rookie running back Harvey Unga, as they put him on IR today with a hamstring injury:
The Bears picked up BYU running back Harvey Unga in the seventh round of the supplemental draft, hoping that he would fit in as a Mike Martz H-back.
The team can only hope Martz (and coach Lovie Smith) still have jobs when Unga returns.
The Bears placed Unga on injured reserve on Thursday because of a hamstring injury, ending his season. This will go down as a redshirt year for the versatile big back.
