Former Bears RB Johnny Bailey Dies at Age 43

Former Chicago Bear RB Johnny Bailey lost his battle with pancreatic caner at the age of 43:

Johnny Bailey, who won a state title at Yates, set college records in Kingsville and played six years in the NFL, died Friday morning in Houston after a battle with pancreatic cancer, he was 43. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1990 and in his rookie season, he returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdown. He later played with the St. Louis Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. In his six seasons in the NFL, Bailey ran for six scores and and caught a pass for another. He also returned two punts for touchdowns and built a reputation as a dangerous return man, averaging a league-best 13.2 yards per punt return in 1992.
