Bears Ink Former Bills and Chiefs QB Todd Collins

The Bears finally have a backup QB, as today the team inked former Bills QB Todd Collins:

The Chicago Bears signed QB Todd Collins to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Collins has completed 381 of 674 passing attempts (56.6 percent) for 4,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and 19 interceptions to compile a 76.0 passer rating in 47 games (20 starts) with the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins. Collins was originally drafted in the second round (45th overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills out of the University of Michigan.The Bears will announce a corresponding roster move later today.

    Wonder if this means there’s a trade brewing for Hanie? I thought they’d only keep 2 quarterbacks on the roster. Although after watching the putrid performance of our o-line on Saturday, maybe keeping 3 QBs isn’t such a bad idea…

    If the OL doesn’t block any better than they did Sat….good luck QB’s. Also to be a running back for the Bears is dangerous. Make sure ur insurance is paid before the next game you RB’s…lol Go Bears… Work in progress.
