Metrodome roof collapses one week before Bears-Vikings play on MNF

The Minnesota Vikings sabotaged their home field in a desperate attempt to steal the spotlight from their better-performing rivals on this cold NFL Sunday.

Okay, maybe not. But regardless, the eyes of the NFL are focused on Minnesota, rather than Chicago, after the Metrodome’s roof collasped when Minneapolis and much of the Northern Midwest was hammered by a blizzard.

The Giants-Vikings game scheduled for today had already been moved to Monday night since the Giants were stuck in Kansas City due to airport closings. Before the collaspe, the game was rescheduled for Monday night. No word yet on when the game will now be played.

The Bears are scheduled to play the Vikings in Minnesota next Monday night.
