Bears Preseason Schedule Includes Pair Of Primetime Games; Bucs In London?

The Chicago Bears will collide with the St. Louis Rams in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on August 7 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.  The team last played in the H.O.F. game against Miami in 2005, winning 27-24.

Former Bears defensive end and Super Bowl XX MVP Richard Dent will be inducted into the Hall of Fame the day before they meet St. Louis.

The second game under the lights will be shown on the road on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants, in the club’s third preseason contest, August 22.

Chicago will welcome the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns and visit the Tennessee Titans in the preseason on dates and times to be determined later.

With two prime time games in the preseason, I expect us to receive double the amount in the regular season.  We’ve earned the privilege and honor to be in front of a national audience.

Get This: Bears will be playing in London on October 23 for one of their regular season games against Tampa Bay.  It is believed to be said that this match-up will count as the Bucs home game, and NOT Chicago’s.  If the labor problems last until Aug. 1, the game will be re-scheduled for Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.  The NFL regular-season schedule will be released next week (April 19) with dates and times.

Chicago last played in London on Aug. 3, 1986, when the Bears beat the Dallas Cowboys 17-6. It was the season after the Bears won Super Bowl XX.
