Bears Expected to go Out and Grab Back Olin Kreutz

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, as much as Bears coach Lovie Smith has said about Olin Kreutz since the season ended, you have to wonder why the Bears didn’t put their money where their mouth was and sign him when the opportunity was there before the lockout began.

If Kreutz is valued as the leader in the locker room, why didn’t the team show the other players what the 13-year veteran means? That’s not to suggest Kreutz is on his way out. All expectations are he will re-sign.
