5th Round Pick Nate Enderle Joins Bears Workouts

ESPN Chicago reports that rookie quarterback and fifth-round draft pick Nate Enderle joined recent Bears workouts.

Another new face showed up at the Chicago Bears’ unofficial offseason workouts. After conducting all of his post-draft training in Idaho, Bears rookie quarterback and fifth-round draft pick Nate Enderle arrived in Chicago on Sunday, and has begun throwing to his new teammates, according to an NFL source. ESPNChicago.com reported former CFL standout and new Bears wide receiver Andy Fantuz worked out with the team’s offensive skill position players for the first time earlier in the month. Enderle, who impressed Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz in a private pre-draft workout, passed for 8,181 yards and 62 touchdowns as a four-year starter for the University of Idaho. The Bears were determined to draft a developmental quarterback in 2011 after a 2010 training camp injury to Caleb Hanie ultimately forced the team to cut former sixth-round choice Dan LeFevour prior to the start of the last season.
