Angelo must find a way to re-sign Kreutz

Bears GM, Jerry Angelo

The effects of Olin Kreutz’s absence are now fully evident. After the Bears had their first real practice yesterday, the offense, primarily the O-line is not gelling well together. Kreutz is the focal point of the offensive line and without his presence, the offense cannot function cohesively.

Jerry Angelo and the rest of the Bears front office is only $500,000 away from getting their Pro-Bowl center back. After seeing lineman Chris Williams line up at center and botching snaps to Jay Cutler, Bears fans can only hope Kreutz is welcomed back soon.

Roberto Garza also had his chance to show off his ability at the center position and did okay. Besides the fundamental skill and talent Olin Kreutz provides, his camaraderie and humor were also absent Saturday.
