Good thing Dane Sanzenbacher was kept.
Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett looks like he will be out against the Packers in Week three due to a torso injury, according to an NFL source.
Bennett suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Bears’ 30-13 loss in the Big Easy when safety Roman Harper popped the Vanderbilt alum in the chest with his helmet on a nine-yard completion. Cutler’s Commodore crony departed the contest, and came back to the field for a brief moment before being ruled out at after recess.
More tests will be appointed, as the diagnosis for Bennett has brightened the past 48 hours.
Who knows, maybe fragile/out-of-shape Roy Williams (groin) will return in time for Green Bay on Sunday.
