The Windy City Flyer did not participate in practice for the second consecutive day, leaving his status up in the air for the Lions.
“We’re still hopeful for Devin,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said. “It’s never good when a player doesn’t practice, but if he’s ready to go Sunday there is still a chance we’ll let him go.”
Hester injured his left ankle midway through the fourth quarter of the Bears’ win against the Eagles on Monday and was unable to finish the game.
Peppers: Defensive end Julius Peppers (knee) returned to practice and is listed as probable to face Detroit.
