Sunday’s win over the Chargers came with a price. It could be a price that could change the Bears season for the worse.
QB Jay Cutler injured the thumb on his throwing hand, Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports, and Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune reports that Cutler’s thumb is broken.
Cutler was able to finish the game and is undergoing tests to determine the severity of the injury.
If Cutler was injured on Sunday, his performance didn’t show it as he completed 18-of-31 pass attempts for 286 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the 31-20 win over the Chargers. Cutler was not sacked for the second time in three games.
