Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox suffered a head and neck injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s contest against Seattle.
After lying on the field, he was carted off on a stretcher. He was able to move his hands as he was carted off, but it’s too early to determine the extent of his injury.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Knox has a mid back injury and is being taken to a hospital for further evaluation. He will not return to the game.
Quarterback Caleb Hanie completed a 17-yard pass to Knox who fumbled when he was hit by Seahawks rookie safety Kam Chancellor. As he dove for the ball, Seattle defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove collided with Knox, bending his head and neck backwards.
