Bears Re-Sign CB Jennings; Ink QB Campbell, Pair of Special Team Standouts

The Bears have added quarterback Jason Campbell to their roster to backup Jay Cutler, signing the Auburn alum to a one-year deal.

Campbell was in Oakland last season and landed on Injured Reserve midway through the year.

McCown Kept: Third-string quarterback Josh McCown is staying put, as he signed a one-year deal.

Secondary Surety: The team also re-signed veteran cornerback Tim Jennings to a two-year deal. Jennings started 15 games last season in the Bears’ defensive backfield.

Special Teams Reload: With Corey Graham and Zach Bowman likely to depart, the Bears decided to bring in Blake Costanzo (five-year deal) and Eric Weems (three-year deal). Costanzo played for the 49ers last season, while Weems was in Atlanta — where he earned Pro Bowl honors in 2010.
