With Mario Williams signing a huge deal in Buffalo, the Bears decided to bring back their own — signing defensive end Israel Idonije to a one-year deal.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound versatile lineman, who starts opposite side of Julius Peppers, will remain in Chicago, and now the Bears can focus their attention on bringing back another front four big guy — Amobi Okoye.
Idonije, 31, collected 52 tackles and five sacks last season for Rod Marinelli’s crew.
