Bears Re-Sign Safety Craig Steltz To Two-Year Deal

The Bears have re-signed yet another player, as safety Craig Steltz has agreed to a two-year contract worth $1.64 million with the team.

The contract contains escalators in the first year of the deal which could make it more lucrative, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Steltz finished the regular season on a high note, starting the final four games of 2011 to finish ninth on the team with 48 total tackles.

The 2008 fourth-round pick also forced a pair of fumbles and recorded a sack and three tackles for losses.

Steltz is likely to begin training camp as the No. 3 or No. 4 safety on the roster.
