The Bears came to terms today on a one-year extension with linebacker Lance Briggs. The team didn’t release the terms of the deal.

The 31-year-old has started 137 games in the nine seasons he’s been with Chicago.

He was picked in the 3rd round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Arizona. In his career, he has 965 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 13 interceptions, 58 passes defensed and 14 forced fumbles.

With the deal, Briggs will remain with the Bears through the 2014 season.
