Bears Hire Mike Groh As WR Coach

Bears coach Marc Trestman has completed his coaching staff, hiring Mike Groh as wide receivers coach, Brad Biggs and Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune report.

Groh, 41, served as the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Alabama this past season. He is the son of former New York Jets coach and longtime NFL assistant Al Groh.

Mike Groh was a quarterback at Virginia, where his father was also a head coach. He has one previous year of experience in the NFL as a quality control assistant under his father in 2000 with the Jets.

He has also coached at Virginia and Louisville and was in his second stint with the Crimson Tide.
