The Bears are still in the market for a backup quarterback to challenge third-year QB Mitch Trubisky, and according to ESPN Bears reporter Dan Wiederer the team has their eyes on two potential backups.
Weiderer says that two teams on the other end of the line are the Cincinnati Bengals, who are interested in moving Andy Dalton, and Nick Foles, who the Jaguars want to dump after one season.
Dalton threw for 3494 with 16 touchdowns and 14 picks and a QB rating of 78.3. Foles, who inked a massive deal with the Jaguars prior to last season, got hurt early in the year and never felt comfortable in the team’s offense.
He ended 2019 throwing for 736 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Foles went 0-4 as the Jaguars starter.
