Playoff return possible for Cutler?

Two sources confirmed that Jay Cutler will be sidelined for six-to-eight weeks, but the Bears have no plans to place him on Injured Reserve, according to Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune.

Get ready for some Caleb Hanie, the NFC Championship game miracle-worker!

In the meantime, it’s time to re-watch some of those ’05 Bears highlight films!

Defense, Special Teams, and running the football will prevail!

It obviously depends on how bad the break and what part of the thumb. Just Thumb is kinda vague. Next 3 games are manageable without him, Raiders, chiefs, broncos but packers at christmas? That Xmas game would be right around 4 week mark. Unless its a bad break it should be close to fully healed by then. Broken my hand lots of times and about a month seems normal recovery. I didnt have to sling a football around tho but cutler will have great docs and trainers nursing him. Definetly needed for playoff run! Hopefully no toughness questions come from this. Caleb will do fine in the meantime.

The defense is going to be play some inspired ball in the weeks to come. You better believe they feel the season is on their shoulders. I expect an all-out effort week in and week out. Urlacher, Briggs, Tillman, and Peppers won’t let this team slide. They will make up for any deficiencies the offense may have. Tough game at Oakland will be fun to watch and see how Hanie responds. I have faith in Caleb and think he’s going to be just fine, actually, more than fine. Look for more Forte checkdowns and it’s nice to see Barber running hard to help out the offense. Overall, we’ll just have to play smarter on offense and let the run for the Playoffs drive us. I think we’re still making it and Cutler will return for GB.
